ORGANIZATION – Organization is an extremely important life skill to learn. Being organized means to have things arranged in a systematic way. When we are organized, we know there is a place for everything and have everything in its place. It’s also important to organize our lives and schedules so we know what we have to do and when.
Dear parents/guardians,
This month we are learning about organization and why it is such an important skill to develop and use. In our school, we expect students to be organized and ready to go at every class. We want them to understand the importance of being organized. We expect our students to organize their belongings, their schedules and their homework. Being organized will help our students reach their goals in our class, at school and at home. Organization is very important for our students to learn.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
- Be a role model. Our kids are always watching. Make sure you have things at home organized so your kids will see how helpful organization can be.
- Keep a family calendar with everybody’s schedules and events on it. Show your kids the calendar and explain how it’s useful for your family. Have them put their school events and martial arts classes on the calendar.
- Talk to your kids about the importance of organization. Give examples of times you weren’t organized and the consequences of that. Explain how you would do things over with more organization.
- Have your kids get ready for school the night before. Have them pick out an outfit and lay it out for the next morning. Be sure the outfit is complete with shoes, socks, and accessories.
