CHARISMA | Life Skill #1
DEFINITION: Having a magnetic personality
SYNONYMS: allure, dazzle, entertain, charm
“Charisma is the transfer of enthusiasm from one person to another.”
– Ralph Archbold
This month your child will be studying the character word “CHARISMA”. They will learn that charisma means to have a magnetic personality. Throughout the month we will teach your child about charisma through mat chats and drills. We will also work on a special project in which your child draws a picture and utilizes charisma to explain the picture.
You can help by reinforcing charisma at home. If you lead by example, your child will follow. Below are some tips on how to compliment the lessons we teach about charisma this month:
- Help your child improve his or her physical health. This includes eating right and taking good care of their personal hygiene. When people feel good about themselves, it carries over when they interact with others.
- Carry yourself effectively. Demonstrate confidence yourself when you interact with others. Look them in the eyes and smile a lot. Your children will model your behavior.
- Help your child become an avid reader. This will simulate their intellect. After they read a book, ask them to explain what they read and the lesson they learned from the story.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to watching our youthful students build the skill of charisma.
